Sometimes the best places are the ones that don’t need to shout about how amazing they are. This little spot, tucked right in the heart of Old Town, turned out to be one of those hidden gems that makes you feel like you’ve discovered something special.
The thing about staying here is that you’re literally living inside the old city walls – I mean, you can practically touch the ancient stone from some of the windows. Katja (I’m assuming she’s one of the owners) was incredibly welcoming during check-in, and she actually gave me some insider tips about which restaurants to hit up before the cruise ship crowds arrive. The rooms themselves aren’t fancy, but they’re spotless and have this cozy, lived-in feel that a lot of boutique hotels try to fake. The AC works great too, which honestly matters more than marble bathrooms when you’re dealing with those sweltering Croatian summers. One small thing though – the stairs are pretty steep, so if you’re traveling with heavy luggage, just mentally prepare yourself for a bit of a workout.
What really won me over was the location. You’re about a two-minute walk from Stradun, the main pedestrian street, but far enough away that you don’t get the constant chatter of tourists wandering around at all hours. I could hear the morning market vendors setting up in the distance, which was actually kind of charming. And here’s something most people don’t realize – being this close to the old town means you can duck back to your room during the midday heat when the cruise crowds are at their peak, then head out again in the evening when everything’s more relaxed. The 8.9 rating makes total sense to me because while it’s not luxury, it delivers exactly what you need: a clean, comfortable base in an unbeatable location with hosts who actually care about your experience. For the price point, you’re getting way more value than those sterile chain hotels outside the walls, and you’ll save a fortune on taxi rides since you can walk everywhere that matters.

Superb 1. Located in the perfect spot in the heart of the old town, but in a lane that was pretty quiet at night

What could be improved: There were no window blinds, so too much light came in in the morning.
Exceptional Great value accommodation - really comfortable bed and a quiet. Very clean and right in the middle of the Old Town. Found the fridge and microwave really useful. Host very kind showing us to our room.

I would highly recommend to pick this variant because it provides reasonable pricing and there is everything that everyo Cleanliness, nice location, comfy bed.
What could be improved: I bit noisy in early morning when the city streets get cleaned by the city service, but there is nothing can be done regarding this.
