Royal Fort – The View delivers exactly what it promises, and honestly, after staying at places that oversell their vistas, this was refreshing. You get those postcard-perfect shots of Dubrovnik’s terracotta rooftops and the Adriatic stretching out beyond, but it doesn’t feel staged or touristy. The property itself has this understated elegance that works well with the historic surroundings — they haven’t tried to compete with the ancient city walls, which shows good judgment.
What struck me most was how the staff seemed to actually know the area, not just the standard tourist recommendations everyone gives. They’d suggest timing for avoiding crowds at popular spots, or mention which local restaurants were worth the walk. Great views and the pool was fantastic, especially in the 30°plus temperatures.
Lots of thoughtful touches such as cold beers in the fridge and plenty of coffee capsules. Easy walk downhill to Old Town and an 8 euro uber ride took care of the return trip uphill.
What could be improved: Sloping windows in bedroom made it difficult to open the curtains.
Loungers on the terrace could be complemented by a small outdoor table and chair set.
The location was perfect - near the old wall. The unit was spacious. And the pool on the balcony was sensational - I do not think there is a better setting to look down on Dubrovnik
What could be improved: Just somewhere to wait for room access as we arrived early and it was extremely hot
The POOL was amazing, the view over the old town of Dubrovnik was stunning. The Room was very clean and modern. Due to our late arrival, the host has provided us with some fresh bread, cheese, meat and some drinks which was a very kind and much appreciated gesture of hospitality. The location is great as you are only a few minutes walk (stairs) away from the old town. We had a great stay and really enjoyed it.

Location was outstanding. Literally overlooking the old town. Apartment is new and stylish. Pool is great - overlooking the city whilst relaxing in the pool was a great experience.
The view is amazing! The rooftop pool overlooks the walled city of Dubrovnik as well as the sea. The property is clean and updated
What could be improved: The air conditioning had trouble keeping up with the heat. We would’ve liked it to be a little cooler inside the property
The view from the roof top pool was amazing. Very comfortable apartment, all new, spacious for 2 people.
