You know what?
You know what? I wasn’t expecting much when I first turned onto Josipa Berse Street in Lapad β it’s honestly one of those quiet residential roads that you’d walk past without thinking twice. But Apartman Dubrovnik turned out to be exactly the kind of place that makes you feel like you’ve discovered something the tour groups haven’t ruined yet.
The thing about staying in Lapad is that you’re getting the real Dubrovnik experience without the Old Town circus. I mean, don’t get me wrong, you’ll definitely want to spend your days wandering those medieval walls, but coming back to this neighborhood feels like exhaling after holding your breath all day. The apartment itself sits in this charming residential area where you’ll actually hear Croatian being spoken on the street corners, and there’s something genuinely peaceful about walking back from dinner past locals chatting on their balconies. The host clearly knows their stuff too β check-in was smooth, and they pointed me toward this little konoba about three blocks away that I never would’ve found otherwise (honestly, some of the best black risotto I had in Croatia). The space itself feels more like staying at a friend’s well-appointed place than a typical hotel room, which I actually preferred. Clean lines, good lighting, and β this matters more than you’d think β proper blackout curtains that actually work.
What really sold me on the place was the location’s sweet spot factor. You’re about a 15-minute walk to Lapad Bay, where the water’s this incredible turquoise and there’s way less elbow-to-elbow tourist action than at Banje Beach. The local bus stop is literally two minutes away, and those buses run frequently enough that getting to Pile Gate or the cable car station never felt like a production. Parking wasn’t the nightmare I’d feared either β there’s street parking nearby, and the host gave me the insider scoop on which spots are actually legal (trust me, you want this information). The neighborhood gets properly quiet at night, which is something you can’t say about anywhere near the Old Town, but it’s not dead quiet β just that nice residential hum that helps you sleep well. I’d honestly come back here, especially if I was doing one of those longer stays where you want to feel somewhat settled rather than just passing through.

Amazing location! The apartment was perfect, brilliant location, about 10 minute walk from the lapad strip of restaurants and 40 minutes walk from old town. Only 2 minutes away from a bus stop to old town. Our Hosts were fantastic and even left us bread and fruit on arrival. The beds were very comfortable and we all slept well. It was lovely having a balcony fur breakfast in the morning
What could be improved: The plugs in the bedroom were between the wardrobe and the wall so with our adapters they did not fit in. We had to charge our electronic devices in the kitchen as there wasn't many plugs in the living area/ second bedroom either.
Superb! The host is very helpful and efficient in communication! The apartment is well equipped and the host prepared us some welcome fruits and drinks. Me and my friends had a great time staying here. There is a mini supermarket a few steps away.
What could be improved: Just a note that, there are some stairs to climb, it is not very accessible. However it was fine for me and my friends so not a big deal for us!
First time in Dubrovnik, Lapad is fantastic location, we will be back! Great location, very close to Sunset beach and apartment was spotless. Hosts organised a fabulous speed boat trip which I would highly recommend

Amazing! The location was excellent - really close to sunset beach (10 minute walk). Excellent pizza restaurant 1 minute away. Easy taxi to old town.

When we arrived at the apartment, we were greeted with welcome drinks, fruit, and cookies.
An excellent capsule coffee machine is in the apartment.
The apartment is 3 minutes' walk from the most famous Sunset beach and Uvala promenade, only 3 minutes' walk from the local bus station and 3 minutes' walk from the grocery store, parking is free and always available.
The hostess Ivona is always available on her cell phone and advised us what to visit and we had a great trip with a speedboat.

Exceptional The owner was very kind and left us some drinks while he explained the area. The location is good, walking distance to the beach and a short Uber drive to the city centre. There is free on-street parking around the apartment but it is very challenging.
Exceptional The location of the property was great, very close to the beach and supermarkets. The bus stop was only a few minutes away which was very handy for travelling around. The property was clean and the beds were comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay here.
What could be improved: More mirrors in the bedrooms would have been a benefit
