You know what struck me first about Apartments Vulicevic? It’s tucked away on Vatroslava Lisinskog street in a way that feels properly residential – like you’re staying where actual Dubrovnik locals live, not in some tourist bubble. I mean, it’s only about a 15-minute walk to the Old Town walls, but honestly, being slightly removed from all that medieval madness is exactly what you want after spending your days dodging cruise ship crowds on the Stradun.

The apartments themselves are exactly what you’d expect from a solid 3-star place, but the owner clearly gets that travelers need more than just clean sheets. There’s this attention to practical details that you don’t always find – proper kitchen setups if you want to hit the local markets (and trust me, the one near Gruž port has incredible produce), decent Wi-Fi that actually works, and air conditioning that matters more than you’d think during those sticky July nights. The whole place has this lived-in comfort that fancy hotels sometimes miss. I actually loved how quiet it gets in the evenings since you’re in a proper neighborhood – you’ll hear the occasional local conversation drifting up from the street, maybe some late-night café chatter, but nothing that’ll keep you up.

What really makes this place work is how it connects you to the real Dubrovnik rhythm. You’re close enough to walk everywhere that matters, but far enough that you can escape the tourist intensity when you need to. The local konoba around the corner – I can’t remember the exact name, but it’s the one with the blue shutters – serves some of the best black risotto I had in the entire city, and it’s the kind of spot you’d never find if you were staying down by the harbor. Parking can be a bit of an adventure (welcome to Croatian coastal towns), but the host knows the neighborhood tricks and actually gives you real advice, not just vague directions. During shoulder season, this area has this lovely, almost village-like feel in the mornings – you’ll see neighbors chatting, kids heading to school, the whole authentic daily life thing happening around you. It’s the kind of place where you start planning your return visit before you’ve even checked out, honestly.

  I had a fantastic experience staying at Apartmani Vulicevic! From the moment I arrived, the owner was incredibly welcoming and made me feel right at home. The apartment was spotless and very well-maintained, with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. One of the best parts was the convenient parking – it made exploring the area so much easier. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a clean, welcoming, and hassle-free stay in Dubrovnik. Will definitely return!

  private parking, it was very clean, the hirer was very helpfull and gave us a lot of tipps for visiting Dubrovnik, the appartement was very nice, top beds and long enough for me (190cm), childs (ours 6 and 10) are welcome (this is not normal, but was very great for us), close tu bus station for going downtown, supermarket very close (150m)

  A clean, well located apartment for a good price. Everything was sufficient, including kitchen equipment. We did not mind the nightly quiet hours rules from 2200 onward, but I don't recall being advised of this prior to making our reservation. Our host Bozo met us at the gate when we arrived, and he explained everything in good detail about how to utilize the apartment services. The lighted patio area was a nice place to gather and socialize. A grocery store is conveniently located around the corner, and the yacht club and other restaurants are just a short walk down the road. Uber works well in Dubrovnik.
  
  What could be improved: The "no alcohol" house rule was surprising, and since we were not advised of this beforehand we ignored it (and suffered no consequences, since we are considerate people and not heavy partiers). The 2 bathrooms are functional but quite small (requiring you to accommodate the presence of the sink next to your arm when sitting on the toilet, for example). They were fine really and we appreciated having 2 bathrooms for our group.

  What could be improved: Photos are extremely misleading. What appears to be a balcony is communal seating area on top of a garage. We don’t know wether booking or the host made an error, but we booked a two bedroom apartment for four people, and on arrival were taken to a one bedroom annex behind the property with a double bed in the living room.

  El departamento súper completo y equipado, con Lavarropas y un patio para tender (viajando un mes por Europa eso se valora mucho!)
  La ubicación excelente, cerca del puerto, en un barrio muy tranquilo. Si bien está lejos del casco, eso no es problema porque en Uber es barato y fácil de acceder. El propietario muy atento y amable. Todo muy limpio. Toallas extras. Sin dudas que volvería!
