Awesome stay Villa Leona is a beautiful home with stunning views, located in a peaceful area that’s not too far from the heart of Dubrovnik. The house was spotless, and the beds were very comfortable—perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring.
We ended up at Villa Leona after an unexpected situation left us stranded in Dubrovnik when the owner of our original rental failed to show up. Thankfully, Ivana and Šime, the hosts of Villa Leona, truly came to our rescue. Šime even brought his van to pick up our group of 16 people from the street—something we will never forget.
Throughout our 4-night stay, both Ivana and Šime regularly checked in to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Whenever we needed assistance, Šime was quick to help. Their kindness and hospitality made a stressful situation into a memorable and enjoyable trip.
What could be improved: The only issue we had was the internet will stop working sometimes, but Villa Leona is a great place.

You know what?
You know what? I wasn’t expecting much when I first turned down that narrow road in Orašac – honestly, I thought we might be lost. But Villa Leona sits there like this perfectly kept secret, tucked away from the tourist chaos that honestly gets a bit much in Dubrovnik proper during peak season. It’s about 20 minutes from the Old Town (which sounds far but trust me, you’ll appreciate the peace), and the whole place has this intimate family-run feel that’s getting harder to find these days.
The thing about Villa Leona is that it gets the details right in ways that actually matter. I mean, sure, it’s got that pristine Croatian coastal look with the white stone and terracotta tiles, but what really struck me was how quiet it gets at night – you can actually hear the sea, not just traffic and late-night revelry. The rooms are spacious without being cavernous, and there’s this subtle luxury thing happening where everything just works without being showy about it. The air conditioning doesn’t sound like a helicopter, the shower pressure is actually decent (you’d be surprised how often that’s not the case), and the beds are proper comfortable. I slept better there than I had in weeks.
What really sold me on this place was the staff – they’re the kind of people who remember your name and actually seem to care about whether you’re having a good time. The woman at reception (I think her name was Ana?) gave us these incredibly detailed directions to this little beach cove that we never would have found otherwise, and she was spot-on about the timing to avoid crowds. It’s that local knowledge that makes all the difference. The location in Orašac puts you right in this charming fishing village that hasn’t been completely overrun yet – there’s a lovely restaurant literally a five-minute walk away where the fish is so fresh it was probably swimming that morning, and the prices are about half what you’d pay in the Old Town. Plus, parking is actually manageable here, which if you’re renting a car, you’ll understand is basically a miracle near Dubrovnik. The whole experience felt less like staying at a hotel and more like being welcomed into someone’s very well-appointed home – except with daily housekeeping and someone else making the breakfast.

Exceptional I stayed at Villa Leoni and had an absolutely wonderful experience! The villa offers a stunning sea view – I enjoyed peaceful mornings on the terrace, surrounded by greenery and calm. The location is perfect: it’s in a quiet area, yet everything you need is nearby – a resort, cafés, a shop, and the parking is conveniently located right in front of the entrance.
It’s an ideal place for anyone looking to relax and enjoy some privacy, while still being close to all the amenities. The natural surroundings add a special charm and a real sense of escape from the everyday.

Exceptional Our stay at Villa Leona was excellent from start to finish. The property was spotlessly clean, well-maintained, and beautifully furnished. Everything was prepared with care – the kitchen was fully equipped with all necessary appliances and utensils, the bathroom had all essential amenities, and the bedrooms were comfortable and spacious.
We especially want to highlight the hosts Simon and Ivana who gave us a warm welcome and was incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay. We truly felt at home, which meant a lot to us as we were their first guests.
All in all, a wonderful experience, we highly recommend Villa Leona and would gladly return!
